Prosthetic Melancholy Commission - SatraThai

Somewhat a sequel to this image and part of the story:

While spelunking to recover samples of a rare moss on which her thesis revolved around, Dariya and Nadari were caught in a nasty cave-in that trapped Dariya's left leg under several tons of rock. With the rest of the cave now rendered unstable and likely to come down at any moment, Nadari had only one option to save her friend; hack off Dariya's limb with a shovel.
The aspiring xeno-marinebiologist finished the rest of her classes from the hospital, and as a form of apology, the young engineer that saved her life spent several sleepless nights building Dariya a new leg.

It wasn't all bad however, the two were selected for the Shasan Expedition candidacy list and a few years later would be forever immortalized as heroines of two worlds.

Normally I'd take this moment to tell you that myself, SatraThai and canadian-trekkette have started work on a PfS Visual Novel or something, or some other silly April Fools joke, buuuuut I'm too lazy. Instead I'll just say that we haven't given up on getting this finished, we're just slow and not nearly motivated enough (well in the case of Satra it's less about motivation and more about toothaches and needing to be paid for her work ). Don't worry folks, we'll get it done even if it kills us!!! (Again, maybe not Satra, but she'll still be pretty sad if we die, and you don't want her to be sad!  D: )
